The Cuckoos Nest is situated on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght. This is a good pub for a few drinks no matter what mood you're in. The main bar and lounge area is spacious (even when it fills up) and has a good atmopshere every night of the week. The big screens in this area cater for all sporting events and the pre and post theatre goers (Tallaght Theatre Group is situated behind the pub) add to the lively atmosphere.
The Wicked Chicken is the live music venue of the Cuckoos Nest and hosts Live Music (Traditional and more) 7 nights a week - there is no cover charge. There is also a beer garden to wile away the day on hot summer days. The pints are reasonably priced and taste good while the service is top notch. There is also a cab office, a bookies and an off-license on the premises so it really does have something to offer everybody any night of the week.

- I visited this pub a couple of times when I was working with The Three Ring American Circus in the late 1980s. What a brilliant pub. I rate it amongst the best places where I’ve had a drink or two. Great drink, good food and fantastic people. Try to visit this pub on St Patrick's Day if you enjoy a real Irish family occasion. There’ll probably be a couple of bands playing all day long and the bar staff will be serving the pints of Guinness complete with a shamrock design on the top.
