Description:
Casual w/ Live Trad Music
Review:
Located in the heart of Temple Bar the Auld Dubliner is a very lively place for a night out. The atmosphere is cracking and very friendly. It holds daily live music shows (upstairs), showcasing the best of Irish music. The pints are quite expensive but no dearer than you would expect from a Temple Bar pub. The staff are efficient and very helpful. This pub is ideal to have a good 'sing-song' and a great laugh in and as a result you will never know what you will end up singing or indeed who you will be singing with.

Public Reviews:
- I spent my 30th birthday in this pub and had a blast. The atmosphere was brilliant and the people were really welcoming and great fun. Would definitely go there again on my next visit to Dublin.

- It was the 1st pub that I went into when I was there and it was VERY busy but the service was excellent and I will certainly be back in Dublin soon and this pub will be my 1st port of call again.

- In my opinion the best of the Temple Bar pubs so not one to be missed. Serves good beer and there's music upstairs most evenings. Always has a good mix of people.

- I visited this pub on two occasions on my last trip back to dublin. One evening I came in to find it quite with a quite traditional session going on in the corner. The next time was in the night. It was packed and took me about 15 mins to get to and from the toilets. It had mixed groups and a great atmosphere on both occasions. I definitely will visit the Auld Dubliner again.

- Visited several times during St. Pat's week 2002. Downstairs can be smoky and crowded, best to go upstairs where they have entertainment and a decent pint. Best during week, weekends very crowded.

- Gets very busy most days being in Temple Bar. Nothing too spectacular about this pub, but it is certainly better than it's closest neighbour, Gogarty's.

- This was our favourite pub. Great staff and after hearing Eamonn we kept coming back for more. Next time we are in Dublin this will be one of the first places on our list.

-OK, I know this pub gets busy, but it's worth the fight to the bar for the live music upstairs, and if anyone is getting food here, beware, the side portions are HUGE! Excellent place, I will be visiting again!

-Fantastic atmosphere, very friendly and lively. After trying out a few varied pubs up and down Temple Bar we kept coming back to the The Auld Dubliner for more. Can get very busy but it all adds to the fun of it. A must for all to visit!
