We dropped into Tramco, early enough on a Saturday evening, about eight-ish or so and the place was absolutely
empty. We were there for a party so proceeded upstairs where an area had been reserved. Service was good, staff were
fine, drink was tasty, the food was delish but by 10pm, the place was still empty as we looked down below. Where is everyone we thought?
For smokers / those who like the outdoors, there is an ideal Beer Garden / Smoking area out the back except well, they close it about 11.30 and then you basically end up, well let's just say it's a smoking area and it's not out the front. Anyways, I digress cos as I was walking to it I noticed that they were charging a 5 entry fee - I presume it started at 11 and then suddenly the place was packed to the rafters.
There was mainly a young-ish crowd and the atmosphere was really good and everybody we talked to was friendly (well we do know each other a long time). Anyways, I'd have to say I would recommend Tramco if you wanted a honest to goodness 'party' night out with dancing and the like. My only gripe was that they didn't have milk so I couldn't have a White Russian, but that didn't ruin my might.
From what I've heard from others about tram co was that it was full of posh stuck up D4 heads. But this didnt turn me off as I always like to try something out for myself. So we decided one sat to go there for a change. The place is nicely layed out and the drinks are good. The music is the best I've come across in a nightclub in dublin. The band kick off the night with a bit of soft rock like Bon Jovi and Green Day while the place fills up and created the great atmosphere. About 12.45 the DJ starts with a bit of good chart music and as the night goes on playes a great mix of late 80s and 90s cheesey pop. Jeremy Dixon plays from time to time on a Sat but his usual night is a Sunday. He plays the best mix and is the best DJ there and happy to play requests. My friends and I love the spot Great crowd, and find ourselves there at least once a week. By far the Best club in Dublin.
Class place to head out on a nite out. I'm a real relaxed person and love the atmosphere. It's such a chill out place and honestly never seen any underage which is always good. It's replaced Bondi for me.
This is by far the worst pub in Dublin. Donā?Tt believe any of the other reviews. After reading them I had to submit a review; I wouldn't want any tourist getting the wrong idea and thinking this type of pub was accepted in Dublin. The music was utter poo! And at an absolute eardrum-splitting volume. The crowd was ALL slappers and scumbags. And they charge in...To a pub...just a pub. Enter at you own risk!!! I know what you thinking, 'he must be about 70 years old' alas no, Iā?Tm only 22 but I do have some taste.
Came here for a hen party & had a really good night! Drinks good, music fun and plenty of space for a good dance! Couldnt find Paddy;s place though, abit disappointing or that could just be the tequilas talking!! Everyone seemed really friendly, word of warning though - dont get dragged to Angels by those Irish lovelies - its a strip joint!!!
Really liked this pub/niteclub. I lost my wallet in the toilets and the staff handed it into security!! Where else in Dublin would this happen i ask you?? Great service, lovely interior/layout, no D4 heads!! Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend it to the rest of the culchies back home!
This really is the place to be if your young single and looking for a good time it really is savage. Tramco on Wednesday night is animal 3.50 all drinks and the place is jammers. I love the place more than anywhere and for those who have been barred in the past there is a new bouncer company so its a new slate for all which is coolio.
Only went back to Tramco a couple of weeks ago after a few months . Was there on a Sat night and had a great time .Really like the crowd and had no problems getting served .Music was great and the place was buzzing
Before the "old Tram Co." was closed for renovations, it was good which is disappointing. Now it is perfect. The renovations made this into a lovely little late bar/club.
This place can get quite packed on a Friday/Saturday night. If you are queing for toilets (mainly for ladies) there can be queues. But thats only at a very late hour.
Service at the bar is friendly and quick...something most nightclubs don't have. The punters range from 18 year olds to mid 30's. You wont see much older than that. There is never any trouble in there. It's a relaxed and very friendly athmosphere.
Entry to the nightclub ranges from 5euro right up to 10/12euro. It's free before 10 (or is it 11?). The door staff are friendly. If you are of a respectable age they will smile and let you in. If you look young, they will ask for ID. If you are a chancer 14 year old you will have no hope. One of the best spots on the southside. Very central too! Thumbs up here!
Enough about Tram Co at night, the food on a Sunday is definetly something to write home about, plenty of variety. And the chef Micko always has something nice to say!
This is by far the best bar in dublin- you know where to find me on a weekend! The bouncers can be real nice if your female, free in before 11 and music's great. Two floors and comfy booths for the lazy ones.
Well when tramco closed 2 yrs ago a bit of Dublin was lost, but now with the reopening, it was all worth the temp closedown. New decor, bigger dancefloor, nicer bar staff and articulate bouncers, the crowd is fast returning. Good mix of gals and guys and fri its 8euro in with sat being 10 euro. Give ilace, it was a Sat night, nothing funky or fresh, lots of cheese and crap like Paddy Casey. Do these people who run this place not realise we can hear that rubbish anywhere. I'll stick to a more clubbing vibe. Never again.
This is a real nice pub. The Bouncers were efficient if not friendly and I didn't see many people turned away. Guinness at 4.40 but I'm sure this went up as the night wore on. Beautiful girls (if somewhat stuck up), terrible music nice place. Its got a bank machine inside which is handy. All in all a good experience. I'll be back.
