- This one of those big barnhouse pubs that seem to do most business serving carvery on a sunday afternoon while kids run around drinking fanta. If you want a real cosy pub atmosphere head on over to the villager 50 yards away, if you want carvery and sky sports stay here.

- This pub is situated in Chapelizod village, a stones throw from the river Liffey and the Phoenix Park. The pub prominently featured in the novel Finnegans Wake by James Joyce. Its facade is original but the interior was refurbished in recent years. There isn't much atmosphere in the bar, it's quite bright and lots of light wood but the staff are very friendly. There's a restaurant also, which is renowned for great food.
