There is some guy who calls himself Bull, Who praises that Disaster of a pub The Foxhunter, and then says the Lord Lucan is just okay. Let me tell you that I drank in The Foxhunter for many years after moving to Lucan and have watched in deteriorate at an alarming rate in the last couple of years. The food is average, but more importantly the drink is Vile. The dirt of the place on the outside is nothing short of a disgrace, and there is no interest at all in the customers. This can be seen by the fact that all the old crowd have moved on to drink in other pubs in the area, and only a handful of strangers can be seen there. Most of us (About 15 in all) now drink up in The Lord Lucan, where that beer coming out of the taps is nothing short of First Class, and the staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is warm and cosy. So hence, this mysterious Bull, who unlike me won't reveal his name, must be one of, or work for The Towey Group.
Another pub when driving by, must'nt be missed! With its top classs food and friendly service. It has both non-smoking and smoking areas a first of its kind for Lucan! Well spaced out for those friendly chats, yet they still cater for more lively souls, With Taylor Quigley's late bar next door, This is a good spot for an all day AND all night session.
