- In it's heyday (when it was called The Big Tree) The Estuary shone, it was great craic, pool, jukebox, karaoke, take your pick etc. The locals in the bar playing music and singing songs. New owners took over, rebuilt it, ripped out the jukebox, pool tables and banned singing. They also serve earlier than all the other pubs in Swords, last orders are 12pm at the weekends and the bar shuts fairly swiftly. A few of the locals still drink there, hanging on to the memory of how it used to be, but it's not a patch on it's formal self. Positives? Well, they now serve food and it's pretty good and well priced. But what it makes up for in food, it lacks in character.

- This was by far the best pub in Swords, and I think we hit them all. The locals we met were friendly and a lot of fun. The food was good, and the Guinness was the best we had in the Dublin area. The best part of the place is Jerry the bartender. Stop in and ask him to hang a pint on the wall for you.

- I have been in many a pub over the years and this one is a good one. It may be small, but both the food and drink are great especially the Guinness. The staff are very friendly especially the barmen. They could not do enough for both the wife and myself on the day we were there. One was run off his feet while another barman seemed to be having a holiday but this one barman still had a smile and a few words every time we ordered. I will be back...with friends
