This pub is one of the oldest in the town, and as such it has a well established older crowd. Average age is probably 40, but a few young people do come in to play snooker (4 full size tables!)or to have a chat before going out on the pull on a weekend night. It's quiet with no music (except in the toilets - classy)and the pint of Guinness they serve has always been called the best in the town. Beer quality is unrivalled. Service is good, and there's TVs for the sport. A great place if you just want a quiet chat and a good beer. Was decorated recently and is very warmly, like a nice front sitting room! :)
