Solas
Wexford Street
Dublin 2

Description:
Casual Bar
Review:
Solas is a rather trendy easy-going pub which has a relaxed atmosphere. It's located on Wexford Street and is a handy place to get to and start a night off or indeed to finish a night. While not 'big in width' in the traditional pub sense it is long and as a result it can seem cramped and airy at the same time. The seating is very comfortable but not laid out brilliantly especially when the pub gets busy it can be hard to navigate the aisle. This however is a small gripe when compared to the good service and fine pints (which are a bit expensive but no more so than pubs in the surrounding area). All in all this is a fine place to unwind in with friends or just relax with an after work pint.

Public Reviews:
- Overall a very nice place to be. Day or evening, its clean, friendly staff, good menu, groovy music. It's a little gem!

- Went in here on Friday night for a pint with my mates found the staff a bit slow to serve and the pub is very cramped, the place is laid out very badly and the beer wasn't that great. Also my friend who is fond of the black stuff said it wasn't a great pint. I got an aftertaste off my pint and after waiting 8 mins to try to change it we left and went elsewhere. Could just be the night we went here but we won't be back here anytime soon, not a great place at all

- Smashing bar. Really good crowd and vibe - slightly alternative. Excellent music from the regular DJ line up - mellow mid week to more upbeat weekend. True, it can be difficult to navigate when really busy but not a problem because the crowd are so friendly. Pints are constantly good and are usually served with a smile. One of my favourites.
