Review: Scholars is (one of) the youngest pub in the Tallaght / Firhouse area only opening it's doors about two years ago. It is a bit out of the way but is well worth a visit to have a few in and take in it's old style charms. Both upstairs and downstairs are set against a contemporary and stylish wooden theme and both are equally cosy. The pub has a very relaxed feel to it and is good for a night out with friends for some polite conversation and a laugh. The drink is fine, prices okay and service is good. The only problem with this place is getting home from it because it is a bit of the way - book a taxi or visit with a designated driver. Apart from that, it is a nice pub for a pint.

- A genuine quality bar. Great atmosphere mid week, seemed full of all ages out for chat and pints. Excellent service, staff efficent and clean, a good quality in this punters eyes also seemed to know every customer, a great time and a great place. ps had food the folowing day, did the trick. good on ye mate!!

- New, Nice and Fine food. Opened just 2 years, Scholars has gained a reputation for its atmosphere and welcoming. effecient staff. Well worth a visit, entertainment most weekends - live bands. Sunday lunch is very good with good control of kids. There is a very active Golf Society - new members welcomed
