Review:
"RENARDS" is relatively new to the Dublin scene but already has made a big impact with the Dublin social set. Renards is fast becoming one of Dublin’s favourite night spots. Renards is Dublin's first jazz and supper club showcasing the best of local and international musical talent. Located on South Frederick Street, just off Nassau Street and opposite Trinity College, this basement club has a capacity of 150 and boasts a grand piano, a top class menu and a late bar. Have a meal, choose from a wide range of beers, spirits, wines and champagnes or just enjoy the music. NIGHT CLUB The club is open Thursday thru Sunday. Thursday night is Discotheque night where your can dance to all the great hits of the 70s and 80s. Friday & Saturday it’s the weekend and we’re rocking come early to avoid the queues.Sunday is "LOVE & HUGS DANCE NIGHT" with DJ Robert Butler and guests an end of weekend blend of dance music.

Public Reviews:
- A lot of posers and wannabes in here. 5 euro in is good but way too crowded.

- Having recently been the 'warm up' DJ on a Saturday night in Renards I can confirm that you are not missing much by not getting in the late bar downstairs. The champagne is expensive, you cant sit down unless your 'somebody' and it gets very crowded. Upstairs has the cool factor, if you're a 40+ year old investment banker. Also, you would be lucky to spot such A listers as Dave Fanning or some guy from fair city! Who?!! Stick with the main bar, but its really not worth the fiver in.

- Great fun place to go on Sat or Fri night. Good luck to you trying to get into the downstairs - I had to blag my way in pretending to be a dancer with Eminem when he was last over. But it wasn't worth the blag! Stay in the bar the nightclub sux!

- Awful pints, bar staff with more attitude than ability and all the atmosphere of an old folks home after lights out! Renards is the haunt of z-list Irish TV celebs and sad cases hoping to catch a glimpse of Colin Farrell! If this is the sort of thing that floats your boat, go ahead, but if that's the case then you would be the sort of person who would be impressed by catching sight of the weatherman from TV3!
