Review:
Redz is situated on the O'Connell Bridge end of D'Olier Sreet/Westmoreland St. When we first entered we were surprised by how small it was, only to be told by a friendly bouncer that the main bar was in fact downstairs. Down the stairs we went and the area opened up into a large open area with a 'circular' bar in the middle. The music was pumping and even though it was relatively early on a Friday night (8.30pm), it was starting to fill up. We took our seats at the bar and ordered drinks. They were a bit on the expensive side but they tasted fine. The 'bright red' bar chairs themselves were comfortable and the option of highering or lowering them was an advantage if you wanted to sit at a smaller table. I can imagine that Redz gets packed later in the night, but with the good music, party atmosphere it's a good place to visit with friends on a night out.

Public Reviews:
- Have been goin 2 redz 4 quite a while now. Love Mondays & Fridays , Cheap Drink!! ?2 on mondays & ?3 on fridays.. Also has the best doorman in Ireland.. Especially Steve aka Louis, porobably the friendliest, funniest & most helpful doorman ever. Im sure without him they'd lose a lot of their regulars!!!

- Redz is a weird one... You can have fantastic nights in there and nights where you whould rather have your head in a toilet. The DJ's in Redz are unpredictable - From Playing the current hits to playing the worst remixes of songs that were shite anyway. Your best bet is to go in for 1/2 an hour and make up your own mind. On good days its unbeatable... But most days are not good days for Redz in my opinion.

- I felt very claustrophobic in here. The ceiling is very low. Drink was good though but it was filthy in the toilets and my feet were sticking to the floor. Won't be going again

- I've been here a few times and found it to be a lovely place. The bouncers and bar staff are friendly, and the cocktails are great. A good spot to go with a group of friends to round off your night out.

- I have been in here 5 times now. The first 3 I judged it to be undoubtedly the worst nightclub in Dublin, I kept returning only because certain people I know had birthdays etc there. Terrible, cheesy music. However last twice have been quite good, last time they even had over an hour of rap played. Reserving final judgement

- This place drives me mad. I've been twice an ill never go bck. Da ceiling hits ur head an im 5 foot. It's full of sleezy men. The only good thing is the music.

- I think its a great pub. The site is quite cool too. You can get a good feel for the interior by looking at the virtual tour. Check it out at www.redzbar.ie

- This club is unbelievably hard for me to get into! One week they told me there was a function on and it was invitations only but my friends got in later on! The next week it was over 21's! The next week they said they didnt have to give me a reason as to why they were refusing me. I had I.D and everything.

- One of my favourite places to go. I had the same problem with the bouncers but i didn't have my id.I've brought it with me since and the bouncers are friendly (depending, but the majority) and chatty. The decor is warm and the seating is comfortable and has a safe feeling. The music is great, the dancefloor is small but at the end of the night its pretty crowded and less intimidating. The drinks are a bit overpriced but the frienldy, helpful barstaff compensate for this. A definate place to go.

- Redz bar is the new kid on the block but I must say I enjoyed it. The Doormen don't seem to be on any kind of ego trip (unlike Q-bar across the way) and the music is banging (I turned up on a Friday night). Whilst the beer is expensive it tastes as good in a pint glass as it does in a bottle (all too rare in late night establishments these days). All in all a great night out with an unbelievable amount of gorgeous people! I thoroughly recommend it!

- didnt take to the place at all. bouncers were way too stamp happy, ended up with about 6 stamps at the end of the night, not impressed, music ok and there was drink promos, but bouncers were ignorant, they are the first impressions you get of the club, and first impressions last, wont go back

- This club is right in the heart of the city, was enticed in for free by some cute girl giving out flyers. Inside its very cool and funky, the staff are quick and friendly and it is wall to wall with eye candy! Although not cheap the draught beer is very good and far better than you come to expect in a nite club. Well worth a visit...friendly door staff as well!!

- This is more of a club than a pub, by London standards anyway. Didn't know what to expect of the Dublin nightlife but was pleasantly surprised as this had the atmosphere of some of London's top clubs, with very similar decor!!! The main bonus being that there was no entry fee - unlike the usual London £20 to get in. The other being the amount of gorgeous Irish guys there! The bouncers were charming and very friendly -perhaps this was due to the fact I was with 4 other girls? Anyway. I highly recommend Redz, particularly to the younger crowd!

- Don't venture in to the city much these days but went here for a recent night out. Must say that I was impressed here, the staff are friendly which is a pleasant change from many places I've been. The ladies toilets are the best in the city, plenty of mirrors for the make-up applications! The atmosphere is great and there is no sense of foreboding as the door is really tight, you would feel as safe as houses here, must say that its a welcome addition to the Dublin scene. Great friendly staff, great beer and cool tunes. Will give it another go for sure!

- I visited Redz every night I was there in Dublin!! (Honest it was nothing to do with the bouncer!!) We were on a hen night and were even dressed in nun outfits one night!! The staff were friendly (some especially more than others!) the atmosphere was great. It is a great night out if you like a giggle! xx
