1. This hostelry is where I had my first pint of the 'Black Stuff' almost 50 years ago. It has remained my local ever since. From 'Verling's to the 'Pebble Beach' with other title's in between. Always offering a cheerful welcome, this pub is steeped in a tradition of sports. Football, Snooker, Horseracing, but in particular Golf. It is very much a local's local, with a very comfortable atmosphere. The beer and ale are always on top form, and the prices are pleasantly favourable. I now reside in Manchester, but still consider 'The Pebbler' my Dublin local. On my frequent visits to Clontarf I always call in for a session or two with a group of my friends and relatives. In there I still meet some of my friends of yesteryear, but alas, they are becoming fewer and fewer. I am never disappointed with my visit's to 'The Pebbler' always a great welcome, we are always well looked after, and we are always offered a fond farewell, with the sincere invitation to 'call again next time' I can recommend the Pebble Beach to one and all with heartfelt confidence.
