I like this pub very much, except for the many low ceilings. I am tall, my forefathers are arayan, and I am banging my head quite frequently on the low wooden ceiling. I am thinking if they higher this up many more tall people will be in this pub. The beer is plentiful and is not too expensive, but it is more expensive than the beer in my fatherland of Germany. On many nights there are bands playing the music which I enjoy but nobody there plays the banjo. This pub is frequently used by a crazy old man who, I have found out, used to play saxophone with the famous rock band Thin Lizzy. Alright!
This is without a doubt, the best pub in Ireland. You could spend days in it. The food in it is delicious. The Guinness is apparently very good but as a Stella drinker, I reckon, it serves the best pint of Stella in Dublin. The bar staff are very friendly and watch out for Paul behind the bar as he's a mad man. Check this pub out or your missing out.
