- Wasn't impressed by the bouncers, they were pretty rude, unusual kind of place very dark at the back and expensive for the suburbs

- Went with my girlfriend to meet a few frieds,we were refused because they didnt reconise our faces.Although i have been there number of times, last being 8 weeks ago, some of my other friends who have never been there before got in no problem.Alan 28 Who i might add were both dressed very respectably ?

- If you get passed the strict door ''locals only'' door policy, Mc Gowans is quite the hot spot!Filled with different generations, the front an older crowd and gets younger as you head for the chart hopping dance floor with the occasional 80's classic or Bon Jovi hit thrown in at the end of the night.A good night out enjoyed by all and you can take your mama out all night here!!

- Great local spot that holds a lot of people. The prices aren't too bad, and the food is great - particulary the morning after fry up. Caters for everyone, quiet pub midweek with the telly on, late nights with disco at weekend (with a cover charge) and matches on a big screen on sundays. Friendly staff and clean toilets. Overall a good spot to drink in.

- Since I started going here about 2 years ago I have rarely ventured into town since. Pub and club under one roof really with a great atmosphere. Doormen sound if they know your face. Lads, don't walk up in big groups! The local for most of Ballinteer and Rathfarnham.

- This pub is a total rip off. Drink is really expensive and goes up by 50cent after 11am. I ate their once and was not well after it the only reasonable thing on the menu were Chicken Goujons and chips which was in my option under cooked when I got them.
