- The perfect Pub: I've lived in Dublin all my life and went to college here so I've been to a LOT of pubs. McCloskeys is a haven for someone looking for a quiet pint in comfortable surroundings at reasonable (for Dublin) prices. When you inevitably get tired of all the show-off pubs and bars, this is the place to be.

- From the first walk inside, you'd think that McCloskey's is full of local, old men meeting for their nightly pint before heading home. Don't be discouraged. This pub has more to offer. The wait staff is friendly and quick and the back patio cannot be beat! (Complete with heaters for those chilly Dublin evenings.) Not particularly pricey, but certainly not cheap. It's a great atmosphere for a casual pint any night of the week.
