Description:
Casual Pub.
Review:
Madigans situated on North Earl Street in the heart of the city is a fine spot for a couple of drinks especially after a hard days shopping. The pub itself is long and though there is a downstairs featuring a DJ at the weekend, we didn't make it down to have a look. The long seating area features seats on both sides and we sat opposite the bar. While there (on a Thursday night) there were two musicians playing Irish Trad which set a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent, the pints good value and lovely. All said, a good spot as a meeting pint or for some casual drinks with friends in quiet but lively (conversation wise) surroundings.

Public Reviews:
- Had a great time over in this pub a few weeks back. All the bar staff are really friendly and made us feel really at home. They pull an excellent pint! Carvery lunch was delicious. Downstairs was a bit of a kip though, needs to be renovated.

- Great food! Was there 23 Apr 2006 around 1 pm. Would have enjoyed it better if a white haired, approx 60 yrs man, wasn't so intent on stealing my daughter's purse! Watch out for him. He's sneaky.

- Not the best bar to go to for a laugh as we were told to calm down or we were getting chucked out & we hardly made any noise at all, decent guinness, horrible downstairs, def.wont be going back.Frazers & The livingroom (formerly sidewalks) are miles better!

- Very disappointed by both the slow service and the quality of the pints, although the surrounds of the pub are impressive with all the walls covered in mirrors, allowing us to think the pub was bigger than it was. Originally went downstairs but it was shocking! Could be great but nowhere near in my opinion.
