Description:
Casual Pub with Late Bar and Music, Live Trad
Review:
Knightsbridge is situated on Bachelors Walk on the O'Connell Bridge end of the famous quay. This pub could be given a superpub tag which is being used by so many big places now as they seem to offer everything under the one roof. Guaranteed to be packed every night, Knightsbridge offers you a large bar area with various seating and standing areas and a nightclub downstairs. The atmosphere in the pub is lively with music playing throughout the night. It also offers a quality choice of Live Trad music throughout the week with additional sessions on a Sunday afternoon (12.30 to 2.30pm) and Saturday evenings from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
It is open late throughout the week. Pints are expensive but this is pretty much what you have to put up with if you drink in superpubs. There are plenty of staff but you will have to make your presence known to be served. The pub is ideal for an all-under-one-roof night on the town with a large group.
Update:
Most evenings and on Sunday afternoons it hosts a traditional trad session.

Public Reviews:
- Great pub, went early on and was not bad music, later on service was poorer and upstairs was a bit packed but the club downstairs was awesome! would definately go again.

- Often recommended for a good night, should be great but quite disappointing. Went on a weekday and found all tables reserved. Went on a weekend and felt like any bar in any major city with loud "pop" music and none of the famous Irish Craig. Didn't go downstairs for traditional dancing though so may be better down there!

- After a mad night running about the pubs around temple bar - you can imagine we werent feeling to fresh the next day!! We went out for a walk to get some fresh air and thought that a nice wee pint of Bulmers might help as a bit of a cure, we just happened to be standing outside the Knightsbridge - and the sound of the Riverdance tune was just calling us in it was 11.45am - and initially had just planned on staying for one or two pints - I think it was after 2am when we were eventually leaving the Knightsbridge! Absolutely brilliant days craic, really good atmosphere - tourists will love it, with the live bands singing traditional irish songs, and the irish dancing it is a must! Drinks arent badly priced either!! An absolute ball to be had in the Knightsbridge! Give it a go!!

- This has got to be the worst bar service in Dublin. Staff absolutely run off their feet. The owners should seriously think about looking for more staff and re train the ones they have to show them how to at least serve customers in the right order. There is nothing more frustrating than waiting patiently only to see someone who has just arrived at the bar being served.

- This is a great place for live traditional Irish music ... every day! Entertainment 7 nights a week! The service is very good and the staff are very friendly ... lots of tourist like me! :-) So good atmosphere! Food served all day until 9.30 pm, It is located on Bachelors Walk, this place is huge! I used to go on Sunday given great service and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Spent the best Sunday nights in there watching the "irish dancing" I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

- This was the best pub/club we found in Dublin It had enough seating 4 large groups and the entertainment was great. Needed more bar staff though

- Had am amazing night here last year, bar manager made us very welcome, whats happened? she's left, as has the good service, shame....maybe the owners need new friendly managers, not the elderly man seen abusing the overworked staff! yet again, shame!
