Description:
Casual w/ Live Music.
Review:
All we can say so far (having not frequented it in a while) is that it's the highest pub in Ireland, it's legandary for sea food, it's old style charm is quite appealing, it's very popular with tourists, it has live trad music and it's hard to get to unless you're driving. It also has a 'smoking bus' whereby by punters can get on the bus and enjoy their pint with a smoke. We're gonna have to visit....

Public Reviews:

- What an Irish pub should look like even has the 'authentic' sawdust. Worth a visit even though it's miles from anywhere. Be prepared to wait for a table and sometime for a pint. Usually has some traditional live music on.

- Whenever I go home I always try to visit 'Foxes'. It has a good reputation for seafood, and I'll never forget one the best nights out I ever had was there. Always seems to be busy, especially weekends.

- It's one of the most famous pubs in Ireland! Great seafood, nice atmosphere. I enjoyed my time at the Foxes but recently a group of international friends tried to get in but were told that there were no seats for that many people and so the entry was refused... not fair!

- Johnnie Fox's is one of them pubs that everyone must go to once (at least).
It is the Highest Pub in Ireland, and in a wonderful surrounding.
On a warm day, we always try to head that way for a game of Pitch & Putt (across the road) & then a few pints in this pub.
The scenery is wonderful with views of the SugarLoaf outside. Seats & Table outside are provided.
This pub is of great antiquity, with superb old style charm & excellent seafood.
Just to clarify, the Happy Smoking Bus has been closed to smokers after the Government got wind of it. Spoil Sports!
Still a great place.
