Used to be my local haunt, until Barcode opened it was always a good place to go on a weekend night, no though it has wuitened down a lot. Downstairs is good for a few pints in the early evening, stretching to a late night, but I avoid it at the weekends.
A throwback to the bad times of Dublin pubs, the Sheaf is not one to take the tourist cousins to in a bid to impress!! In need of renovation inside and out. Prices are reasonable, but only out of necessity becuase an increase would drive the regulars away. Not a great location for any occasion with the possible exception of watching a midweek match on the TV as it is likely to be fairly quiet.
