Description:
Casual w/ Music, Late Bar & Live Trad
Review:
The Goldsmiths Bar is located on the grounds of the Trinity Arch Hotel, located on Dame Street in the heart of the city. It has a very relaxing atmosphere during the afternoon but livens up at night when the youthful crowd takes advantage of the late bar and chart music. The pint is expensive but not bad for it's location. The staff are friendly and efficient. It is a pub to relax in during the day and party in at night. It also boasts a big screen TV for live sporting events. There is also Trad Music performances every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.
This pub is wheelchair accessible.

1. As with most pubs, it gets busy and packed. Has a slightly strange layout with most of it upstairs and lots of nooks and crannies. Loud music is an acquired taste. Or maybe not. Too noisy, too busy and too pricey for me. Wants a certain crowd (trendy) but doesn't quite get it.

2. Oliver Goldsmiths (Trinity Arch), is right in the center of town. I great place to meet up with friends and start the night, as it is central to everywhere. The decor is not like that of a superpub, but then you wouldn't class this as a superpub, but more of a pub that local Dublin people go to. Also a good place to stay the night. Great if you get a window seat, as you can watch the Dublin people walk by, and you are always sure you will know at least somebody walking by. If not, the horse and carts are good to look at.

3. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, interesting decor and the food looked really good even though we didn't try any. Casual atmosphere with lots of room as there is an upstairs area also. Nice place to stop and rest your weary feet after walking around all day. Prices were €4.40 for a pint of Kilkenny and also for the Heineken. Music was playing but not loudly which was a good thing as you could have a conversation. Recommended by this American who lives in England!
