Frank Ryan & Son of Queen Street is a cosy little pub which makes
for ideal drinking any time of the week. Although small inside it
is well spaced out with a crackling atmosphere. Conversation and
laughter abound and coupled with the friendly and welcoming locals,
it is an ideal place to spend a few hours drinking in. Service is
excellent and the pints delightful but they are a bit pricey but no
more than some pubs in town. Even though it is located a bit away
from the city centre, this is an excellent pub to drop into.
Lovely creamy pints, friendly staff, good mixed crowd, nice vibe anytime I drop in.
Found it by chance, it's between Voodoo & The Dice Bar, there's a good little threesome going on, lovely pint - a good pub.
The best pub in Dublin if you know your Guinness and appreciate the coolest sounds. The staff are great and the customers are a good mix of ages and personality types. Check out the rock memorabilia, then kick back and enjoy the vibe...
Excellent atmos all around and a lovely pint. The locals are very welcoming and I was surpised to see tv and radio star Gerry Moore(Mammy+Clank) enjoying a pint. If its good enough for the stars it has my vote!
In my humble opinion this is the finest pub in the city, a great pint of guinness to be had in there. The bar staff are talkative and friendly, and the owner takes great pride in all things Guinness. They stock pint bottles of Guinness, Smithwicks and best of all, McArdles. A true old Dublin pub, and the finest one in the city.
wow great pub, found it by chance last week and stayed til closing time, pints lovely (3.80)staff friendly, good mix of people, lighting "n sounds are cool, lots of old pictures a mix of dublin gaa,old guinness stuff, some irish rock n roll memorabilia, some cool sinatra pictures,i was impressed with da vibe, i will b back
A superb pub, drop right in after work and you wont want to leave, any day of the week or weekend, the new owners are fantastic, great sandwiches and the new pool table is a stroke of genius!
Good traditional city bar. A bit off the beaten track but as it's close to Smithfield should be easy enough to find. Usually has a good mix of locals and worked from the Jameson's distillery. Had a good time anytime I've been in.
Type: Old mans pub with quality guinness
Review: As im only a student i was surprised to find this olden pub more than welcoming. The staff are friendly and there wasn't a bad pint in sight. Well worth a visit for a few quiet pints.
