1. I first visited Fallons a couple of years ago after reading about it in a guide book. As soon as I set foot inside I knew that it was my kind of pub. It is a small pub, unspoilt by time, having none of the irritating features found in most large pubs in Dublin. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the Guinness is good and reasonably priced and at lunchtime they serve great soup and sandwiches. I have been back several times since and visiting Fallons is one of the things I look forward to whenever I am in Dublin.

2. Fallon's is smoker friendly, where 6 people can cram themselves under the shelter covering 2sq meters, it's always better than nothing.

3. For a genuine Irish bar with local Dubs try Fallons which is at the junction of the Coombe and New Row, just beside the Patrick's Street junction. The locals are very particular about their pint, both taste and price. It's almost beside St Patrick's Cathedral (you can almost see it from the door) and it's worth taking the risk of getting killed by a car to reach it. You'll find few (if any) tourists there, and the bar staff are very friendly and helpful.
