Formerly Fibber McGees, Bacchus is a good pub to get a late drink in as it
opens late most nights of the week. It is very dark inside which adds to it's
haunting atmosphere. The pints are keenly priced, the service is good and it is
a good place for a couple of pints.
This place is perfect 4 a game of pool and a pint. The tables and the beer in this pub r outstanding. I've spend my last birthday in this pub. All my friends thinking the same about this place:we've 2 come back and so do I.
This place with a nickname plainly called fibbers by the regulars. It's a quiet secluded area from the other pubs around. Just up from the ambassador it is free in and has an upstairs & downstairs. The upstairs is like any normal traditional Irish pubs. When you walk down the steps you hear from great bands such as Iron Maiden and Metallica. There is also a pool table where they have a league on every weekend also a dance floor where you just see heads banging wildly. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun great friends can be made here & the price of beer is a bit expensive with blue wicked going for €5.20. The barmen are polite and you always see floorstaff clearing tables. It's a great pub if you want to let loose and the DJ will play any song you ask for if he has it! There used to be a beer garden but that got sold to the hotel beside the pub because the people were a bit too noisy late at night. It is a very big pub downstairs and you would find yourself wandering around trying to find some nice faces.
Just to note that the Beer Garden has (as of summer 2004) been reclaimed and is now open whenever the pub is! :-)
