Public Reviews
- Fantastic cosy atmosphere for such a large establishment. Disagree completely with reviews below - Food was outstanding - a cut above the average 'pub grub', excellent diverse menu. Bar staff were extremely jolly. I would not hesitate to make the trip from the southside to Glasnevin to wine and dine in this beautiful haven within footsteps of the national botanic gardens.

- I must say that over the years the bar staff have improved, though they do seem rather on the dry side these days still, if you want a quiet undisturbed pint, surrounded by people who never seem to talk, or at least do it very quietly, then this is the place for you.try the tolka across the road if you want a bit more colour, to black and white for me.

- Great place to go on a Wednesday quite drink. Great Jazz music that night, with a good Sax player and fantastic singer.
Or relax after a walk in the Botanic Gardens on a Sunday afternoon.

- The food in here is the worst I've ever had on a Sunday. They had a sixteen-year-old chap in a chef's hat who didn't know which way to ladle peas. The spuds averaged a quid each, the soup was quite literally dishwater and there was a piece of desiccated chicken the size of my fist for eight quid. Dreadful.

-. I have to disagree with the review from Derek in Finglas. My family have been coming here for lunch on a Sunday for years because of the fresh carvery food and great craic and we've never had a single reason to complain.

-. The has definitly got to be one of the worst pubs in the city. The staff were badly mannered and unfriendly. The food was very poor indeed. In general I was shocked to say the least at the prices charged and the poor quality of this place.
