The French 75 is actually named after a gun that the French used
in World War 1 and was the drink of choice of most of the French
soldiers before they headed into battle.
It is largely forgotten now but is still a delightful drink which
proved very popular in the brasseries around France after the war
despite being the last drink some men had.
If your bar doesn't serve it, here's the ingredients
below, tell them, if you're nice they may make it
for you or you can make it yourself at home.
5 ounces champagne
1/4 ounce gin
1/4 ounce of lemon juice
1/4 ounce of Cointreau
